Free caption tool
Photo caption generator
Have a great picture but no words for it? Describe what is in the photo and where it was taken or how it felt, pick a tone, and get ten captions that mention both. The tool does not look at your image; it works from the words you type and a set of hand-written templates, all inside your browser.
Write captions for your photo
You do not need to upload anything. Just describe the photo and the setting or mood in a few words.
🔒 Works in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
How to use the photo caption generator
- In the first box, describe the main subject of the picture: a person, a pet, a dish, a view.
- In the second box, add the place, the occasion or the feeling, such as “golden hour” or “grandma’s kitchen”.
- Pick a tone, a length and whether you want emojis and hashtags.
- Generate, copy the caption that fits best and adjust it so it sounds like you.
Why the tool asks for a description, not an upload
Some caption tools analyse an uploaded image. This one deliberately does not: your photos never leave your device, and there is no AI model involved. Instead, the two short descriptions you type are slotted into photo caption templates we wrote, with a tone line, emojis and hashtags added by simple rules.
The upside is speed and privacy. The trade-off is that the results are only as specific as your description, so a few precise words make a real difference.
Tips for photo captions
- Name the detail people might miss: the street, the dish, the dog’s name.
- Mention the moment, not just the object: “first coffee after a long week” beats “coffee”.
- Let the caption add something the picture cannot show, like a sound, a smell or a memory.
- Keep the first line short, since many apps only show the start of a caption.
- Use a few hashtags that describe the place or subject.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to upload my photo?
No. The tool works only from the words you type, so your pictures stay on your device.
Is this an AI image captioner?
No. It does not analyse images and it does not use AI. It fills hand-written templates with your description using simple rules in your browser.
Is the photo caption generator free?
Yes. It is free to use with no sign-up and no limit.
Which apps can I use these captions on?
Any of them: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, a blog or a photo album. Turn hashtags off if the place you are posting does not use them.
What should I write in the second box?
The place, the event or the mood. “Sunset in Goa”, “graduation day” and “a slow Sunday” all work well. You can leave it empty if you prefer.
